"빌어먹을 계약서 때문에"…타블로, 창고 파묘하다 前 소속사 '공개 저격' [RE:뷰]

 [TV리포트=정대진 기자] 그룹 에픽하이의 멤버 타블로가 과거 데뷔 초창기 시절의 전속 계약서를 마주하고 전 소속사를 향해 거침없는 쓴소리를 쏟아냈다.
 21일 에픽하이의 공식 채널에는 대형 컨테이너 창고를 방문해 과거의 물건들을 정리하는 멤버들의 모습을 담은 영상이 업로드됐다. 영상 속 에픽하이 멤버들은 "무려 10년 전 YG엔터테인먼트를 떠나며 가지고 있던 모든 물건을 급하게 창고에 넣어뒀다"며 "창고 안에 어떤 물품들이 보관돼 있는지 확인하기 위해 보물찾기를 하러 왔다"고 설명했다.

 창고 문이 열리자 아내 강혜정이 선물했던 고가의 전동 자전거를 비롯해 투컷의 군복, 멤버들이 활동 당시 착용했던 무대 의상과 앨범 굿즈, 심지어 과거 시상식에서 받은 대상 트로피까지 지난 세월의 흔적이 고스란히 담긴 온갖 물품들이 쏟아져 나왔다.

 그중에서도 멤버들의 시선을 단숨에 사로잡은 것은 에픽하이가 데뷔할 당시 작성했던 전속 계약서 실물이었다. 해당 문서를 발견한 타블로는 전 소속사 이름을 언급하며 순간적으로 말을 잇지 못하다가 고성을 질렀다. 과거의 부당했던 처우가 떠오른 듯 격앙된 반응을 보인 것.

 타블로는 빛바랜 계약서를 들어 올리며 "이 계약서 때문에 내가 'Fly'를 만들었는데 한 푼도 못 받았다"고 억울함을 토로했다. 이어 "이 빌어먹을 계약서 때문에 음원 수익을 한 푼도 못 받았다"며 "그런데도 새우 먹는다고 그렇게 화를 냈다"고 당시 소속사 관계자로부터 겪어야 했던 불합리한 일화를 구체적으로 폭로하며 분통을 터트렸다. 이를 지켜보던 투컷은 "이거 내가 가지고 있었다"며 놀라워했고, 타블로는 상징적인 의미를 담아 "이거 어디 걸어두자"고 맞받아쳤다.

 2003년 10월 첫 정규 앨범 '맵 오브 더 휴먼 소울(Map of the Human Soul)'을 발표하며 가요계에 첫발을 내디딘 에픽하이는 독창적인 음악성으로 대중의 큰 사랑을 받아왔다.
