 [TV리포트=남금주 기자] 한국 여성 최초로 무동력 요트로 세계 일주를 한 이나경이 비용에 관해 밝혔다. 
 3일 방송된 tvN '유 퀴즈 온 더 블럭'(이하 '유퀴즈')에서는 무동력 요트로 세계 일주로 한 자기님이 출연했다. 
 이날 한국인 여성 최초로 330일간 무동력 요트로 세계 일주를 완주한 이나경 자기님이 등장했다. 이나경은 "총 11개월간 항해했는데, 330일이 걸렸다"라며 거의 1년간 배 위에서 생활했다고 밝혔다. 
 이나경이 출전한 '클리퍼 세계 일주 요트 대회'는 11척의 요트가 동시에 출발해서 4대양 6대륙, 총 4만 해리 거리를 누가 빨리 세계 일주를 하는지 겨루는 경기. 4만 해리는 7만 4,000km로 약 지구 두 바퀴이며, 세계 각국의 모르는 사람들과 한 팀이 되어 그 거리를 함께해야 했다.

 조세호는 "가장 먼저 도착한 요트가 우승하는 거면 쉬어가는 건 마음대로냐"라고 물었고, 이나경은 "쉬어가는 곳이 따로 있다. 8구간으로 나눈다. 영국에서 시작해서 스페인, 우루과이, 남아공, 호주, 베트남, 중국, 미국 등을 거친다"라며 8개 정박지를 지나며 14개의 경기를 진행, 점수를 합산한다고 밝혔다. 
 이나경은 요트 대회에 출전한 계기에 관해 "경기 전에 요트 경험이 있는 건 아니었다"라고 말문을 열었다. 싱가포르에서 보험 계리사로 일하던 이나경은 "일하면서 많은 생각이 들더라. 꿈꿔왔던 삶을 사는데, 왜 허전한 느낌이 드나 싶었다. 잘 사는 법을 배우고 실행해 왔지만, 나답게 사는 건 생각해 본 적 없다고 깨달았다"라며 더 늦기 전에 자신의 인생을 살고 싶어서 출전했다고 밝혔다. 
 중학생 때부터 유학 생활을 한 이나경은 이공계 세계 명문 학교 런던 임페리얼 칼리지를 졸업 후 보험 계리사로 10년 일했다고. 이나경은 "당시 회사엔 5년을 근무했는데, 바다에 나가는 것보다 사표 내는 게 더 무서웠다"라고 솔직히 고백하면서 "지금 하지 않으면 기회가 없을 거란 직감이 있었다"라고 밝혔다.

 이나경은 인터뷰에서 "정석대로 살아왔다. 공부 열심히 하고, 안정된 직장을 잡아서 일하고. 안정적인 삶을 내려놓는다는 게 제일 큰 모험 같다"라고 전했다. 또한 이나경은 퇴사 후 현실적인 문제에 관해 "지금 경기를 끝내고 겪고 있다"고 솔직히 털어놓았다. 체력적인 소모도 많았고, 마음고생도 심했다고. 
 대회 우승 상금은 없었다. 이나경은 "제 돈 쓰면서 했다"라며 "저한텐 큰 금액이었는데, 저금한 돈을 거의 다 썼다. 1억 넘게 들었다"라고 밝혔다. 그러면서 이나경은 "상금이 있었으면 더 서운했을 거다. 저희 팀이 꼴등을 했다"라며 웃었다. 이나경은 요트에서 맡은 주요 업무로 "식량과 물자를 담당했다. 배 안이 협소하기 때문에 그걸 고려해서 메뉴를 짜고, 정박지에서 물품을 구입한다"라고 소개했다.
