제로베이스원, 소년에서 남자로…"성숙해진 슈퍼 스타"

 그룹 제로베이스원이 성숙해진 모습을 예고했다. 제로베이스원(ZEROBASEONE·성한빈, 김지웅, 장하오, 석매튜, 김태래, 리키, 김규빈, 박건욱, 한유진)은 1일 서울 용산구 블루스퀘어 SOL트래블홀에서 첫 정규 앨범 '네버 세이 네버(NEVER SAY NEVER)' 발매 기념 미디어 쇼케이스를 열었다.

 타이틀곡 '아이코닉'은 누 디스코 사운드를 기반으로 한 팝 트랙이다. '타인의 평가와 상관없이, 우리는 스스로 아이코닉한 존재가 될 수 있다'라는 메시지를 녹였다. 장하오는 타이틀곡에 대해 "처음 들었을 때 곡 자체에서 강렬한 에너지를 느꼈다. 우리의 색깔을 충분히 보여줄 수 있겠다는 자신감도 들었다. '아이코닉'을 통해서 소년부터 아티스트로 성장하는 모습을 보여드리고 싶다"고 말했다. 멤버들은 입을 모아 성숙해진 제로베이스원의 모습을 예고했다. 막내 한유진은 "성숙하고 슈퍼스타 같은 모습을 보여드리고자 한다"고 했다. 김지웅은 "음악과 퍼포먼스는 물론, 9명이 함께 만든 팀워크에서도 더 성숙해진 모습을 보여드리겠다"고 말했다. 특히 박건욱은 수록곡 '러브시크 게임'(Lovesick Game)을 언급하며 "의자를 활용한 안무가 포인트다. 성숙한 모습을 보여드릴 수 있다"고 해 기대감을 자아냈다.

 제로베이스원의 첫 정규 앨범에는 타이틀곡을 포함해 다채로운 장르의 10개 트랙이 수록됐다. 작곡가 켄지(KENZIE)를 필두로 국내외 유수의 프로듀서진이 참여했다. 제로베이스원의 정규 1집 '네버 세이 네버'는 이날 오후 6시 공개된다. 김지원 텐아시아 기자 one@tenasia.co.kr
