 런닝맨들을 놀라게 한 김종국의 결혼 발표. 31일 SBS ‘런닝맨’에서 김종국은 수줍은 결혼 선언으로 품절남의 탄생을 알렸다.
 이날 촬영에 앞서 김종국이 결혼 사실을 알린 가운데 하하와 양세찬이 충격을 표했다면 송지효는 “나는 지금 결혼 날짜를 저장하고 있다”라며 감격한 반응을 보였다.
 그제야 김종국의 결혼 소식을 접한 지예은은 “결혼하나? 왜 나한테 얘기 안 해줬나?”라며 서운해 했고, 당황한 김종국은 “이제 기사가 날 건데 어쨌든 그렇게 됐다. (장가를) 가게 됐다”라고 밝혔다.
 이어 “내가 이제 장가를 간다. 열심히 잘 살겠다”라고 덧붙이는 것으로 결혼을 공식화 했다.
 흥미로운 점은 김종국과 절친한 사이인 유재석도 촬영 직전에야 그의 결혼을 알게 됐다는 것. 유재석은 “나도 오늘 알았다”며 “결혼식 날 스케줄이 있다. 사회를 받아 달라고 하기에 30주년 콘서트 얘기하나 했는데 결혼식이었다. 내가 스케줄을 당겨서라도 사회를 볼 것이다. 내가 사회를 또 격조 있게 보니까 걱정하지 말라”고 말했다.
 지석진은 “김종국은 과거에 태어났으면 독립군을 했을 것이다. 절대 발설하지 않는다”라는 발언으로 큰 웃음을 자아냈다.

 양세찬에 따르면 최근 김종국이 62억 논현동 빌라로 이사를 했다는 소식이 퍼지면서 이미 온라인상엔 결혼을 추측하는 글들이 줄을 이었다고.
 이에 유재석이 “이래놓고 ‘미운 우리 새끼’에서 공개 프러포즈 하는 거 아닌가?”라고 짓궂게 묻자 김종국은 “절대 안 한다”며 질색한 반응을 보였다.
 이날 김종국은 예비신부에 대해서도 간략하게 소개했다. 그는 “동업자 하하도 모르는 사람이다. 연예계 종사자가 아니”라고 예비신부에 대해 말했다. 이에 하하가 “채연과 결혼하는 거 아니었나?”라고 농을 던지자 “이제 하지 말라. 다 끝났다”라고 일축, 출연자들의 배꼽을 잡게 했다.
 유재석은 “생각해 보니 김종국이 여자 친구 있는 티를 냈었다. 녹화하면서 키링 같은 걸사고 지예은의 집에 갔을 때도 모르던 인테리어 소품을 알고 있었다. 걔가 그런 것에 관심이 있는 애가 아니다. 이제야 뭐가 맞아 떨어진다”며 신기해했다.
