 [TV리포트=남금주 기자] 국악인 남상일이 200점 남편의 면모를 보였다. 
 31일 방송된 MBN '알토란'에는 이상민, 이연복, 차유나, 박성광, 게스트 남상일이 출연했다.
 이날 이상민은 국악인 남상일의 등장에 "소리꾼들의 궁극적인 목표가 득음의 경지에 이르는 건데, 그 경지에 오른 거죠?"라고 물었다. 그러나 남상일은 "절대 못 오른다. 수행하는 분들한테 득도하셨냐고 물어봤을 때 '깨달았다'고 하는 분이 아무도 없다. 득음은 정해진 기준이 있는 게 아니라 끝이 없다"라고 밝혔다. 
 남상일은 판소리 편견에 관해 "피를 토해야 득음했다고 하는데, 피 토하면 병원 가야 한다. 바꿔 얘기하면 피나는 노력을 하라는 얘기다"라며 "그리고 폭포 밑에서 수련한다고 하지 않냐. 지금 폭포 옆에서 수련하면 시끄럽다고 한다"라고 정정했다.

 남상일은 어린 시절 판소리를 들으면 울음을 그치며 남다른 재능을 선보였다고. 남상일은 "요리도 양념이 과하면 맛이 없지 않냐. 제 얘기는 진실이다"라고 말문을 열었다. 남상일은 "아기 때 필요 이상으로 우니까 걱정돼서 병원도 데려갔는데, 아무 이상이 없었다. 그러다 우연히 국악 방송 프로그램에 조상현 선생님이 소리를 하시는데, 제가 그걸 보고 좋아하면서 따라 했다더라. 그걸 녹음해서 조상현 선생님께 보냈는데, '이 아이는 소리를 시켜야 한다'고 답장이 왔다"라며 증거를 꺼냈다. 
 남상일이 4~5살 무렵 아버지가 녹음한 남상일의 노랫소리였다. 어린아이라곤 믿기지 않는 구성진 목소리에 모두가 놀랐다. 차유나는 "아기가 꺾기를 한다"라고 했고, 이상민은 "TV를 보면서 몸이 받아들인 거 아니냐"라고 감탄했다. 
 바쁜 와중에도 집밥을 자주 해 먹는다는 남상일은 "자취 생활을 오래 했다. 결혼 이후 아내가 모유 수유할 때 자극적인 음식을 못 먹지 않냐. 제가 간장 코다리조림을 해줬는데, 맛있게 잘 먹었다"라며 "저희 어머니 솜씨가 좋아서 각종 장부터 젓갈을 직접 담그신다. 그리고 전 요리에 대한 호기심이 많다"라며 요리를 향한 관심을 드러냈다.

 이상민이 "음악 얘기보다 요리 얘기할 때 눈이 반짝인다"라고 하자 남상일은 "전 몸이 악기라 잘 먹어야 한다. 제철과 산지에 맞는 음식을 먹으면 노래도 잘 나올 수밖에 없다"라고 했다. 
 그런 가운데 호수가 보이는 남상일의 집이 공개됐다. 5살 딸과 커플 잠옷을 입고 거실로 나온 남상일은 딸을 위해 토마토 달걀 볶음을 만들었다. 각종 핀과 머리띠를 모아놓은 서랍을 끌고 온 남상일은 "제가 머리 잘 묶는다"라고 자신했고, 딸의 머리를 직접 묶어주며 딸 사랑 면모를 보였다. 이연복은 "하루이틀 한 솜씨가 아니다"라고 했고, 차유나도 "잘 묶었다"라고 인정했다.
 이어 한복 다림질 노하우를 보여주는 남상일. 이를 본 차유나는 "100점 남편인 게 애도 잘 보고 요리도 혼자 잘 해서 먹고, 다림질까지 스스로 한다"라고 감탄했다. 박성광은 "심지어 돈도 잘 벌지 않냐"라고 덧붙였고, 차유나는 "200점 남편"이라고 밝혔다.
