          <p contents-hash="6aba2cf2c6fff760ad65d76eef47f0c89ffd84f29bf66ca9945a485822823b54" dmcf-pid="4Sog1KHEhv" dmcf-ptype="general">초등학교 3학년 때 육상을 시작했다는 하석주는 "2년 정도 육상 하다가 축구를 좋아했다. 옛날에는 동네 공 하나 있으면 선배들과 볼을 찼다. 키는 되게 작았는데 빨랐다. 제가 봐도 왼발로 특이한 드리블을 했다"고 밝혔다. </p>
          <p contents-hash="03fe8bf2c07592072c35dd1a56e399274788e92f911366763eb004144016700d" dmcf-pid="8vgat9XDlS" dmcf-ptype="general">'왼발의 달인'으로서 대한민국 축구 레전드가 된 하석주지만 월드컵 무대는 뼈아픈 실책의 연속이었다. 1994년 미국 월드컵 볼리비아전에서 결정적인 찬스를 날려 16강 진출을 좌절시켰고, 1998 프랑스 월드컵 역시 마찬가지였다.</p>
          <p contents-hash="5f673ec289da146b68daed998d579853a11fa0e7e7135e0622497185e51fb984" dmcf-pid="6TaNF2Zwll" dmcf-ptype="general">하석주는 "프랑스 월드컵 멕시코전에서 골을 넣었다. 대한민국 월드컵 사상 최초 선제골이었다. 멕시코를 이기면 16강 진출 가능성이 높아져서 에너지가 넘쳤다. 근데 하늘로 날아가는 기쁨을 진짜 한 2분 30초밖에 못 느꼈다. 그 뒤에 바로 퇴장당했다"고 회상했다. </p>

          <p contents-hash="b41965a763053b928b6ba439970070a4d22f110ce0398abe53d3bbf5560bc9da" dmcf-pid="QYAcp4tsTC" dmcf-ptype="general">하석주는 "대표팀도 은퇴하려고 했고, 축구를 접고 싶을 정도로 너무 충격이 컸다. 공항에 들어올 때 정말 무서웠다. 그때를 생각하면 지금도 편하지 않다"고 트라우마를 고백했다. 이에 허영만은 "중남미 쪽에서는 페널티킥 잘못 넣으면 총 맞아 죽는다. 우리나라에 총이 없길 다행이다"고 농담해 웃음을 자아냈다. </p>
