           그는 "'제5열' 이후로 김종학이 세 작품을 섭외했다. 다하고 싶는데 그 무서운 김수현 선생 작품이랑 꼭 맞걸렸다. 김종학 작품을 다 포기했다"고 떠올렸다.

           또한 "그때 그 양반은 MBC 계셨고 난 TBC에 있었을 때인데, (김수현 작가가) TBC에 스카우트 됐다. 그때 1호 작품이 '고독한 관계'였고 나랑 이순재, 김민자가 주인공이었다"고 회상했다.
