 [TV리포트=한수지 기자] '이유 있는 건축' 홍진경이 대학 후배 김호영의 실제 성격을 폭로했다.
 22일 첫 방송된 MBC 새 교양 프로그램 '이유 있는 건축-공간 여행자'(이하 '이유 있는 건축')에서는 '한국을 설계한 두 남자, 건축가 김중업과 김수근'을 주제로 두 거장이 남긴 유산들을 소개했다.
 '이유 있는 건축'은 지난해 파일럿 방송 호평에 힘입어 정규 편성됐다. 전현무는 "다시 돌아왔다. 작년과 달라진 점이 있다면 이번에는 두 팀으로 나눠서 건축 여행을 떠났다. 저와 진경 씨가 팀을 짜서 다녀왔다"이라고 밝혔다.
 하이 텐션 소유자 김호영과 건축 여행을 떠났던 홍진경은 "같이 간 파트너가 정말 에너지가 넘쳤다. 그날 저녁 때 초저녁부터 코 골면서 잤다. 기가 다 빨렸다"고 고충을 토로했다.
 김호영은 홍진경의 동국대 후배였다. 전현무는 "쟤는 그때도 저랬냐?"고 물었고, 홍진경은 "그때는 애가 많이 안정돼 있었다. 근데 쟤도 살아야 하니까 지 캐릭터를 독하게 끌어올린 것"이라고 밝혔다. 이어 "카메라 꺼지면 다운된다. 약간의 조울이 있다"고 김호영의 실제 성격을 폭로했다. 김호영은 "카메라 켜지면 난리 나는 거다"라며 인정해 웃음을 자아냈다. 
 홍진경과 김호영은 우리가 일상 속 무심코 지나쳤던 장소들에 자리해 있던 김중업의 작품들을 찾아갔다.
 공개에 앞서 홍진경은 "아무나 직접 볼 수 없는 곳에 다녀왔다"라고 말했고, 김호영은 "신분증에 소지품 검사까지 했다. 어렵게 다녀왔다"라고 부연했다.

 이들이 방문한 곳은 국내 건축전문가들이 뽑은 한국 걸작 건축물 1위이자, 한국 현대 건축의 출발점라고 평가받는 서대문구에 위치한 주한 프랑스대사관이었다.
 베이지 색으로 맞춰 입은 두 사람은 시작부터 과한 텐션을 과시했다. 이를 보던 전현무는 "이 억텐들"이라고 꼬집어 폭소를 유발했다. 
 대사관 앞에 선 김호영은 "불어 좀 하냐?"라고 물었고, 불어를 못하는 두 사람을 위해 정일영 교수가 특별 게스트로 등장했다. 그는 파리제8대학교 대학원 언어학 박사 출신으로 각종 유튜브에서 활약하고 있다. 
 이들은 휴대폰과 소지품 검사까지 철저하게 마친 후 입장할 수 있었다. 어렵게 입장한 곳은 마치 실제 프랑스에 온 듯한 인상을 풍겼다. 위엄있는 김중업관을 본 건축가 유현준은 "전세계 프랑스 대사관 중 제일 멋있는 거 같다"라고 말했다. 
 정일영은 "처음에 지었을 때는 한강이 보였다고 한다"라고 설명했다. 하지만 현재는 높은 건물들로 인해 한강이 가려진 상태였다. 대사관은 총 3채로 지어져 있었다. 유현준은 "주인공들이 지붕이다. 하나는 직선, 하나는 곡선, 하나는 평지붕이다. 동양 건축의 특징이 잘 드러난다"라고 설명했다. 
 정일영은 "프랑스의 엘레강스함과 한국의 전통미를 결합해서 만들겠다는 꿈을 갖고 완성했다고 한다"라고 전했다.
